Gladys' photo had a small amount of erosion of image pixels, with a few blemishs but none on the important foreground areas, a somewhat even color cast, and fading.
Restoration included some pixel replacement, fade correction, and smoothing techniques, airbrushing, enhancements to clarify the image, and image placement techniques to achieve the finished 8x10 printable quality image on the right.
